Despite the cold weather, the spirit of spring was alive and well this past Sunday, April 13th, as East Windsor High School’s National Honor Society (NHS) hosted a delightful Easter Egg Hunt that brought smiles and joy to over 20 community members. The event, filled with colorful eggs, delicious treats, and creative face painting, was a resounding success, showcasing the dedication and community spirit of our exceptional students.
Even with the less-than-ideal weather, children and families alike eagerly searched for Easter eggs, their laughter echoing through the grounds. Beyond the excitement of the hunt, the NHS also organized a bake sale, offering an array of goodies. The vibrant face painting station added an extra layer of fun, transforming little faces into whimsical characters and colorful designs.
This wonderful community event wouldn’t have been possible without the tireless efforts of the following EWHS NHS students: Mariella Lukasik, Greaneleigh Wilczak, Evan Witzke, Aniya Gonzalez, Kristina Keyes, Aliey Ragalia, Evan Bober, Ella Marschall, Kaitlyn Rouleau, Liliana DaCosta, Kasey Macsata, Lily Raymond, Elizabeth Romel, Tommy Romel, Tim Mehan, Ava Carter, and Miki Vong. Their dedication to planning, organizing, and executing the event demonstrated not only their commitment to service but also their embodiment of the East Windsor Portrait of the Graduate.
The Portrait of the Graduate emphasizes the importance of citizenship and community engagement, qualities that were on display throughout the Easter Egg Hunt. These students went above and beyond to create a memorable experience for the younger members of our community.
The NHS Easter Egg Hunt served as a beautiful reminder of the positive impact that student-led initiatives can have on our community. It was a day filled with laughter, fun, and the spirit of giving, all made possible by the remarkable students of East Windsor High School’s National Honor Society. We are incredibly proud of their commitment to service and their dedication to making East Windsor a better place for everyone.
