About Us

Welcome to the Curriculum Office for East Windsor Public Schools! The focus of our office is on the development of an outstanding educational program to support all East Windsor students in reaching high levels of achievement and in acquiring the knowledge and skills necessary to prepare them for life, learning, and work in the 21st century. We are proud of our students’ many achievements, the instruction provided by our teachers, and the wide breadth of programs and opportunities in our schools. Through a collaborative effort with parents, students, schools, and community, we have fostered an exemplary learning community which supports innovation and is committed to challenging all learners.

East Windsor Public Schools is invested in the implementation of the Connecticut Core Standards and the East Windsor Portrait of the Graduate. Rigorous standards inform our instruction as well as providing a guide for us to align our assessment practices, especially in core areas of literacy, mathematics and science.  We also continue to evaluate and revise all aspects of our teaching and learning with the Portrait of The Graduate in mind: that all East Windsor graduates be informed life-long learners, responsible citizens, and self-aware individuals. We are invested in raising our students’ performance by providing high quality curriculum and resources and through the continued professional development offered to teachers. These high state and district standards provide the vision for our educator professional development, our instructional budget proposals, our teacher evaluation goals, and how we design our programs and initiatives.

In keeping our standards high, we will continue to offer our students welcoming and nurturing classroom environments in which our teachers encourage students to think critically, problem solve, collaborate with others, and utilize technology to research, create, and present meaningful student work for real-world audiences. We strive to support positive school climates that engage all learners and prepare them for life, learning, and work in the 21st century!
